Ladies Philoptochos Society
The Ladies Philoptochos Society is the women’s auxiliary of the Greek Orthodox Church in the United States. Originally founded in 1931 to help the poor, the Society has expanded its mission into all areas of philanthropy. Philoptochos chapters not only aid their local parishes but also support national and world-wide projects (such as providing medical care for children, feeding & housing displaced persons, etc.).
Meetings are held in person after the Divine Liturgy monthly.
Charitable Efforts
We support various charities during the year, including International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC), the Holy Monastery of the Theotokos the Lifegiving Spring in Dunlap, CA, Bishop Anthony’s Philoptochos Student Aid Endowment Fund, Autism Speaks, Open Heart Kitchen, N.A.M.I., Sleep in Heavenly Peace, and other local charities.
